Babies (0-5 years)

Once your baby is born, you should arrange regular appointments to make sure that he or she is healthy and growing normally.

Breastfeeding is the best start you can give your baby. It is specially formulated to give your baby all the nutrition he needs to grow healthily. Breastfeeding is natural but it may take some time for you and your baby to learn. Here are some resources that can help:

First Six Weeks
Breastfeeding Inc (Dr. Jack Newman)
The Milkman: A Dad’s Concise Guide to Breastfeeding (ebook)

Developmental Milestones

In between Well Baby appointments, you may keep track of your baby’s development by following milestones and suggestions in the Rourke Baby Record or the Nipising District Developmental Screen, both of which publish guidelines for what your baby should be able to do by a certain age. If you have any questions about your baby’s development, please book an appointment.
